Provider

BiliBuddy is provided by Covenant Data Systems, LLC.

Clinical data

Infant names, dates of birth, gestation, risk-factor selections, and bilirubin readings are stored on your device. BiliBuddy 4.0.6 encrypts newly saved clinical entries using platform-backed storage. An Android upgrade retains the older local copy to protect existing records during migration; that older copy may be unencrypted. BiliBuddy does not send those clinical entries to a BiliBuddy server. A result leaves the app only when you deliberately use the system share action.

Analytics and diagnostics

Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics help us understand feature use, reliability, and crashes. They may receive app interaction, device model, operating-system, app-version, identifier, crash, and diagnostic information. BiliBuddy analytics events do not include infant names, dates, or bilirubin values. Usage analytics is off by default and starts only when you enable Share usage analytics in Settings. Turning it off stops future collection. Crash diagnostics are collected separately to identify reliability problems.

Advertising and consent

Google Mobile Ads may process advertising identifiers, device information, approximate location derived from network information, and ad interaction data. Where required, BiliBuddy asks for consent before requesting ads and provides advertising privacy choices in Settings. Ads can also be removed with an in-app purchase.

Purchases

Apple or Google processes in-app purchases. BiliBuddy receives product, transaction, and entitlement status needed to remove ads, but does not receive your payment-card details.

Retention and control

Delete an infant in Tracked Infants to remove its current record. An older Android upgrade copy may still contain the original record. To erase all local Android records, use Clear storage for BiliBuddy in Android Settings; this also removes all other saved infants and app settings. Some platform-backed storage may survive app removal or device restoration. BiliBuddy has no user account. Analytics, crash, advertising, and purchase records are retained by the applicable providers under their policies. You can revisit available advertising privacy choices in Settings.

Security and clinical use

No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure. BiliBuddy is decision support for clinicians, is not a substitute for clinical judgment, and is not represented as a HIPAA-compliant record system. Avoid entering directly identifying data when local policy prohibits it.

Contact

Questions, privacy requests, or deletion questions can be sent to bilibuddyapp@gmail.com. Because there is no BiliBuddy account or clinical-data server, deleting local clinical data must be done on the device.
